SSS18 Terms & Conditions for Sponsors/Exhibitors


a)      Payment will be invoiced within 7 days of agreement on 14-day payment terms.   This payment is generally non-refundable in the event of cancellation.The organisers reserve the right to charge interest at 4% per month on any amount outstanding. 
b)      All prices quoted include the cost of an appropriate exhibition stand or area as agreed with the organisers for the package bought or sponsored together with a trestle table (where available), and standard wifi (suitable for email). 
c)      The contact information you provide may be made available for visitors to the Suffolk Skills Show Website.
d)      It is a condition of your exhibition booking/sponsorship being accepted that all exhibitors must have their own valid public liability insurance for a minimum of £10m in place for the day of the Show.
e)      A further condition is that a Risk Assessment be undertaken and provided to the organisers by 19 September latest to hello@suffolkskillsshow.com.  A template Risk Assessment is available on the website for download should you wish to make use of it.


A confirmation email will be sent confirming your reservation and adding you to the communications channels.  All correspondence will be sent to this person but you will have the opportunity to add additional recipients by logging back into your booking and inviting your colleagues as Assistants to share information about your booking/give you cover in the event of sickness or holiday absence.  They will need to respond to the invitation within 7 days by clicking on the Register button on the home page of the website and using the code emailed to them.


The Organisers will not be liable to any exhibitor for any claim or refund in the event of any Show (or part of the Show) being cancelled or disrupted due to bad weather, major incident, civil unrest or any other cause beyond the organisers’ control.

By committing to exhibit at the Suffolk Skills Show you agree that we can share your company details with Icanbea... who can then provide a draft business profile to you. This must be signed off by your company before going live and will enable you to promote your business and careers for free on the Icanbea... website. 


a)      Unloading and stand set up/Have A Go set up must take place on Tuesday 16th October (as the site will be pedestrian only for the Show itself on Wednesday 17th October).  Outdoor stands may be set up any time from 08.00 on the 16th, indoor stands between 12.00 and 17.00 using the nearest entrance to the building you are exhibiting in.
b)      The Skills Show will open from 09:00-16:30 on 17th October, with the last drop-in entrance time being 16:00.
c)      After unloading, you are requested to re-park your vehicles in the signposted exhibitor area or main car park in order to leave room for other exhibitors to unload. 
d)     Packing away should not start until the Show finishes at 16:30 in order to preserve the professional image until the advertised closing time, (the organisers may level a charge of £100+VAT to exhibitors that pack away before the event closes at 16:30pm, unless otherwise arranged with the organiser).  It is each exhibitor’s responsibility to clear the rubbish from their stand at the end of the Show and dispose of it sensitively. 


Access to a 3amp electricity supply will be supplied with your indoor stand.  For external requirements please contact hello@suffolkskillsshow.com  to discuss your needs in the first instance. The organisers will not be held liable for economic or consequential loss resulting from negligence howsoever caused. All electrical equipment must display an up to date PAT testing certificate on the day.   


The Organiser carries comprehensive Public Liability Insurance to cover claims for which we are legally liable.  Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own Public Liability Insurance to cover claims that they are legally liable for.  Proof of insurance will be required on booking.  The organisers have the right to refuse an exhibitor should valid insurance not be in place. 


Exhibitors are responsible for the Health & Safety (including fire precautions) of their stands and are advised to insure against fire damage to their own and other property and also to insure for Third Party Liability and Theft.  The exhibitor shall assume full responsibility for any article of any kind exhibited by them, including liability for all claims arising out of the handling of exhibits and the conduct of their stand generally.  The exhibitor shall indemnify The Organisers against all claims, damages or expenses arising in any way out of the presence of the exhibitor, their staff or their exhibits at the event.  Acceptance of these provisions shall be condition of entry. 


The Organisers shall not in any way, unless legally liable, be responsible for:

a)      Any claim for compensation or otherwise in regard to the holding of or for anything arising out of or in any connection with the event.
b)      Any accident that may occur or for the death, injury, disease or loss arising.
c)      Any loss or damage whatsoever arising from the abandonment, cancellation of the Show, and any such eventuality.


Only one business per stand can be promoted (unless otherwise agreed with the organisers).


The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the layout or other aspects of the event as required.
